May  25 & 26, 2024 Memorial Day weekend tour.

Tour Hosts: Marty (641-413-3154) & Ronda Green (641-413-0970) in association with the ILL-IA-MO Model T Ford Club. The meeting point from Lamoni, IA. to Bethany, MO. Anyone that has already made reservations in Lamoni will want to cancel those. Ronda & I have canceled ours. The new Hotel is the Super-8 in Bethany, MO. It is a Nice Clean Hotel and has excellent ratings. It is managed by Wyndham and they do a good job with their properties. Ronda & I drove a Model-A Ford down and did a dry run of the first day of the tour. We stopped in to the Super-8 and had them show us one of the rooms. It looked very nice. We have negotiated a discount rate for our group with the manager of the Hotel. Our group rate is $92.88/Night for two people with 1 King Bed. We will be staying with them the nights of May 24th and May 25th. Their swimming pool is being redone so they were not sure if it would be finished by then. They do have plenty of parking for our pickups and trailers.

The Phone Number for the Hotel is 660-425-8881.

When you call to make your reservations tell them that you are with the Antique Car Tour and have a special rate of $92.88/night, plus Tax, as per Lanelle. They offer Complementary Breakfast.

Ronda & I will provide Pizza, Free on us, at 6pm on Friday Night, May 24th. The location will be at the Pizza Hut in Bethany. Just follow 136 West into Bethany from I-35 and when it comes to a stop sign look to the Right and there it is. We need to know how many are coming for the Pizza and how many are coming for the Hotel. Please email your plans to us at thelenoxcomputerstore@gmail.com

The First day we will be running the same route, just a different starting point. We will now be starting out in Bethany, Mo. We will meet in front of the Super-8 Hotel for a driver’s meeting at 9:00am and leave at 9:15. We will go North up old Hwy 69 to Lamoni, IA with a stop at the Amish Store there. Gas and restroom are available here. We then will head out of town east to a short drive through 9 Eagles State Park. We then will drive down to Trenton, Mo. As we come into Trenton from the North there is a Restaurant that we will be having dinner at called “The Washington Street Restaurant”. There is a truck stop right beside it for Fuel and Restroom.

We will have a Drive through historic Trenton, Mo and then head on out to Jamesport, Mo. It’s not a big place but there are a couple of stores downtown that may be of interest. From there we will head out North, back to Bethany. The estimated milage for this first day tour is approximately 129 Miles. When we get back to Bethany, about mid-afternoon, we will be going to Dairy Queen for Ice Cream. We will meet at around 6pm at the “TOOT-TOOT” Restaurant, along Hwy 136, for Supper. It is a big place, easy to find. They have very good food. Each person will be responsible for their own meals.

We are going back down with a Model-A to do a “dry run” of the day-2 tour the weekend of April 4, 2024 if weather permits. We will be looking at milage, Fuel & Restroom Breaks, Meals and snack breaks. We will have those details for you the weekend of the tour. If you have any questions feel free to call or email us. Again, please let us know if you are coming for pizza Friday night and if you are coming to one day or both days of the tour. Please include your cell phone number.

Thanks, Marty (641) 413-3154 & Ronda (641) 413-0970 Email: thelenoxcomputerstore@gmail.com
