Willie Priaulx is the Technical Director and Tool Coordinator

As Technical Director, he is responsible for setting up our TECH MEETS. These are usually a one day workshop presented by him or a quest instructor. Subject matter consists of items he has chosen, or ideas he obtains from the membership. They are usually presented quarterly and/or as needed.

As the Tool Coordinator, he maintains and stores, the collection of Specific Model A Tools,  library of books and reference materials, the club owns.  He also makes recommendations for the purchase of new tools, books, and reference materials to be approved by the club board. He enforces the needed rules and regulations set by the board for checkout of club owned materials. The Club Tools and library of books and reference materials are only available to Central Iowa Model A Club members for checkout and return.

This web page will be for anything technical regarding our Model A Fords. It will have dropdown boxes and/or links for the listed item.

This section will also cover our Tech Meets. It will have photos, handouts, articles from past meets and information for future meets.

Information about Hubleys will be  here also. What is a Hubley? It is a 1/20 scale die cast model kit of different Model As body styles. It has been traditional that Model A owners race these cars, similar to the old pinewood derby cars many of us made as Cub Scouts. A great way to include younger children and adults in programs to promote our hobby. It also give all members something to do in the winter months when most don’t actively drive their cars.

Yes our Central Iowa Model A Club has a “Hubley Derby Track”. Built in 2019 for the Regionals held here in Des Moines.

There will be Links also on this page for several things technical
